University Center provides a Local Area Network within the facility for distribution of Internet access to residents.

24/7 Access
Each resident will be provided with a standard RJ45 data jack, with live, always-on Internet access. Users can expect to experience bandwidth performance of up to 1 Mbps download speeds and up to 512 Kbps upload speeds.

Note:
For the purpose of ensuring bandwidth availability to all users, University Center has implemented bandwidth management to limit users to a maximum download speed of 1 Mbps and maximum upload speed of 512 Kbps. Higher download/upload speed options are available. Actual download and upload speeds will be affected by variances in bandwidth utilization by users on the system, and the number of users on the system at any given time.

Resident computers should be equipped with Network Interface Cards (NICs) for connection to the building LAN. NICs can also be purchased from UC Technology.
